Bhavan’s Vidyamandir is the Nursery school under the Bhavan’s Ramanattukara Kendra. It is established on Bhavan’s campus in Chelembra. An aesthetic building designed to give maximum comfort and climatic condition for the small children is being constructed for permanent abode of the school.
The conventional mode of tyrant instruction of subjects is found to be damageous to the overall development of small children. So the education during this period shall be of entertaining and inspiring nature. The use of modern means and instruments including CDs Education Softwares, Projectors etc. are to be employed in addition to various play materials for achieving this objective.
The introduction of Play-way method in KG classes is not by totally eliminating the introduction of informative studies but by introducing them with colour and flavour to keep up smile and happiness of the children. The objective of these changes will be to enthuse and equip the children for future studies with out fear or frustration.
A body of mothers and teachers of the Vidyamandir students, named as “Mathru Sangamam” will be formed every year to complement the activities at the Vidyamandir. 1. Respect ‘Bharatiya Shiksha’ and culture, respect parents, elders and teachers and avoid vulgarity in talk and behaviour.
2. Are always friendly with others, ready to lend a helping hand to their parents, brothers, sisters, teachers and companions and any unattended visitor they happen to meet on the school premises.
3. Rise with respect, when any teacher or visitor enters any room or place they happen to be in.
4. Never quarrel, cheat or be unfair at play and are always courteous and sportsman-like with opposing teams and with officials.
5. Know that cruelty and causing pain to others is the trait of a bully while kindness is the mark of a gentle boy and girl.
6. Never make fun of the old or the poor, neither make fun of companions because of a misfortune or a handicap which he/she cannot help, for they know that God’s hands rest loving on the heads of all these individuals.
7. Respect the beauty of their classroom and the school premises and report any damage they may observe.
8. Learn and observe good manners at table in canteen, library and elsewhere.
9. Are always truthful, whatever the cost may be.
10.Try to contribute their share in making the world a better place to live in, instead of lamenting and grumbling over the evils of this world.
11.Behave with love and affection towards all.
