CCA Programme:- 2008-2009
•Co-curricular Activities-CCA aims at the holistic development of a child, i.e., bringing out the latent talents in the child and thereby equipping him with better confidence.
•The school is divided into four houses viz., Ganga, Kaveri, Narmada and Yamuna.
Each house has to look after the following duties on the monthly rotation basis.
The duties are:- 1.Discipline maintenance 2.Collection and distribution management, 3.English language communication compliance 4. Cleanliness management.
•The overall personality of each student will be assessed through a class- wise grade-card system.
•CCA competitions shall be conducted as per the CCA rules of the School. Competitions shall be conducted as per the schedule in the diary wherein items have been laid out in compliance with the Inter Bhavans, CBSE and other inter-school competition programme.
•Students are expected to refer the notice board for the themes, subject, selection details, final lists of selected names, any change in programme etc.
•The names of the participating students along with their choice of items should reach the house teachers on or before 15th July 2008. No further entries will be considered under normal circumstances.
Entry in solo items is restricted to four, to ensure maximum participation.
List of items that each group can participate is as follows: -
1. Group I (I and II std)—— Gita chanting / English & Malayalam Recitation / Light Music / Painting –Crayons / Story telling- Eng & Malayalam / Handwriting- Eng & Malayalam / Folk Dance (Single).
2. GroupII (III, IV std)— Gita chanting / Eng, & Mal. Recitation / Eng. & Mal. Elocution / Carnatic, Light & Group Music / Water Colour / Folk Dance- Single / Bharatha Natyam.
3. GroupIII (V,VI, VII std )—-Gita chanting /Eng , Hindi & Mal Recitation / Eng and Mal Elocution / Carnatic, Light & Group Music / Water Colour / Folk Dance (Single) /Group Bharatha Natyam & Mohiniyattam / Inst. Music.
4. GroupIV ( VIII, ,IX ,X std)—- Gita chanting / Eng, Hindi & Mal. Recitation / Sanskrit Elocution / Eng & Mal Extempore / Carnatic, Light &Group Music / Eng and Mal Versification / Eng & Mal Essay Writing / Water colour / Pencil Drawing / Cartooning / Thiruvathira/ Bharatha Natyam/Mohiniyattam//Pot Decoration/Instr. Music//Clay Modelling
5. Group V ( XI, XII std)— Gita chanting /Eng , Hindi & Mal Recitation / Eng & Mal Extempore / Carnatic, Light &Group Music / Eng and Mal Versification / Eng & Mal Essay Writing / Oil painting, Cartooning/ Clay Modelling/ Bharatha Natyam/Mal. Patriotic Song(Group)/Inst. Music.
